Western Cape Provincial Treasury Bursary for 2027
The Western Cape Provincial Treasury bursary programme is intended to help address skills shortages in fields that support the provincial economy and public administration. The eBAS portal lists economics, finance, accounting and auditing as priority areas. Other listed areas include supply chain management, selected built-environment and project-management qualifications, information sciences, data science and statistics.
Applicants must be South African citizens who reside in the Western Cape and are between 17 and 35 years old. The published criteria require an average of at least 65 percent in the previous year of high school or university study. Applicants must be studying full time and must not be receiving another bursary or state funding. The portal also sets requirements for postgraduate applicants.
The eBAS portal gave 30 September 2026 as the closing date for the 2027 cycle. Applicants should check the Provincial Treasury portal for future application windows and any changes to eligibility or priority fields.
