Applying for legitimate South African bursaries and scholarships—as well as browsing Bursela—is 100% free. Neither Bursela nor verified funders charge a fee to access application forms or submit bursary applications. Users are strictly warned never to pay any individual or intermediary claiming they can guarantee bursary approval.
4. Accuracy of Information & Closing Dates
While we research each bursary listing against official corporate, government, SETA, university, and trust notices, funders may revise their eligibility criteria, covered expenses, approved fields of study, or closing dates at any time without prior notice. We also retain past and closed bursary profiles for reference so students can prepare for future annual cycles. Always verify final requirements and deadlines on the official funder page before applying.
5. Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use
All original summaries, editorial guides, structured compilations, and website design elements on Bursela are protected by copyright. Trademarks, logos, and organisation names referenced in listings remain the property of their respective owners and are used solely for identification purposes.
