Energy Mobility Education Trust Scholarship for 2027

The Energy Mobility Education Trust Scholarship supports eligible students who are approaching the completion of an undergraduate degree or who are pursuing postgraduate study at selected South African universities. The programme focuses on developing future ready graduates who can contribute to South Africa’s green and digital economies. Eligible study areas include science, engineering, technology, accounting, actuarial science and computer, mathematical, statistical and information sciences. Applicants must study at one of the universities named in the current call, be 32 years old or younger and meet the published household income limit of R600 000 per year. The programme also applies the racial eligibility definition stated in the current call.

The published scholarship package includes tuition, accommodation, meals, a stipend, a laptop, textbooks and learning resources. Recipients also receive mentorship and psychosocial support. Students should read the current eligibility rules carefully because the scholarship is limited to final year undergraduate students and eligible postgraduate students at participating universities. Meeting the entry criteria does not guarantee an award, since final decisions depend on the programme rules and selection process.

Applications for the 2027 scholarship close on 30 October 2026. Applicants should complete the online form and make sure the details they provide agree with their institution and supporting records.
