Free State Office of the Premier Bursary for 2027

The Free State Office of the Premier has announced a bursary programme for the 2027 academic year. The current listing identifies science, technology, engineering and mathematics, psychology related disciplines, social sciences and other fields as areas of study. The published support may contribute to tuition fees, prescribed textbooks and learning devices where applicable. Meals, accommodation, transport and a monthly living allowance may also be covered where applicable under the programme rules.

The application information currently available directs applicants to download a form or collect one from specified provincial and tertiary institution offices. Completed applications are to be delivered by hand to the bursary unit at the Brahman Building on Nelson Mandela Drive in Westdene, Bloemfontein. The listed contact details include the Free State Office of the Premier bursary email and telephone numbers. Applicants should contact the provincial office to confirm the exact programme requirements before preparing the application.

The current bursary notice gives 13 November 2026 as the closing date. However, the form linked from that notice is labelled for the 2026 cycle rather than 2027. This record is therefore retained as an unpublished draft until a current 2027 application form and its detailed eligibility criteria are confirmed by the funder.
